Hout Bay Cross Walking Ministry

winnieandismallAs we got turned down but 3 different places in Houtbay we prayed and the Holy Spirit showed us that He is blocking us from going to Hout Bay and KKNK festival. We have to continue where we stopped in Saldhana and continue from Velddrif

Winnie is on her way back from Durban and we will still be in Cape Town, preparing to take the cross to the KKNK festival in Oudtshoorn to walk around there during the time in Easter to do gospel outreach.

Instead of going up the West Coast to continue where we left off we will be on the other side of the Western Cape working our way back to the West Coast after the KKNK festival.

As we have less than 2 weeks left before we leave i am feeling led to goto Hout Bay or Camps Bay and do walking with the cross there during this time. We trusting the Lord for place to park and stay in our caravan safely in the area or a place to stay during this time.

During the time we in that area i feel led to walk,

  • In Hout Bay all main roads
  • Hout Bay via Chapmans peak to Noord Hoek and back
  • Hout Bay to Camps Bay and Back
  • Hout Bay to Constantia and back
  • Pray in all areas and share the Gospel as the Holy Spirit leads us

Take Jesus to the streets no matter what

SaldanhaBeachFrontYesterday afternoon as i went to the beach with the cross just outside the entrance of the caravan park there was loud music and there was a lot of people drinking and partying in the parking lot on the beach front. Holy Spirit told me to go walk there with the cross.

Some will say don’t cast your pearls before the swines, other will say how can you mix with these kinda people. i said Lord you sure as i was well aware of the possibility of being mocked and sworn at by this crowd.

Holy Spirit said GO and share MY LOVE with them. As i walked among then i heard some shouting towards me and ignored it. Got to the end of of parking lot and turned around to walk out. As i started walking back people started responding to me as i walk with the cross.

Many approached me some in there drunken state wanted photos with me. The guy in the white tshirt held onto the cross rocking with it at the beat of the load music. A well dressed lady say she knows she drunk a Christian but needs prayer asked for my number and want to call me for council when she is sober. Another man also asked for prayer. a few came and thanked me for coming to share the Love of Jesus with them as they cant believe any Christian would come there to tell them about God.

The guy with the yellow t-shirt wanted to walk with the cross a bit. Some came to me and saying these people are just mocking with you and the cross. Holy Spirit said no they are not to me and i must allow him to carry the cross. He had a few drinks and the fellow with the white shirt also had way to much. David with the yellow t-shirt started carrying the cross with man with the shades helping them. Off we went with the cheer of the crowd. We started walking down the road and God touched David in a very special way. Then the man with the shades also wanted to carry the cross. i has to help them to stay on the road……………………when i took over from them man with shades was sober and David as well as we were having normal conversation. Man with shades said when he carried the cross he knew and felt what it must have been like for Jesus to carry the cross for his sins. David said the same and said God touched him while walking with the cross and it was very special for him. David took my details and said he want to contact me for council as he needs direction in his live.

i left them kept on walking along the beach road along the beach. 15 minutes later as i turn in a side road a group of +- 6 cars all from that area part of the drunken lot in the cars all shouted and thanked me for stopping there……Bottom line for me. When the Holy Spirit speak and tell you to do something JUST DO IT no matter what as GOD IS IN CONTROL. God is good all Glory to Him Jesus i love you

The Joy of the LORD is our Strength – Vredenburg Cross Walk

Yesterday after a long strong windy icy walk in Vredenburg with the cross coming back as i looked up i saw this huge truck with the words ” The joy of the LORD is our strength” It blessed me so much and it gave me new strength as it was not a easy days walking and battling against the freezing wind with the cross.

Instantly i said to myself i need to take a picture of this truck and share with the world. As i was on the opposite side of the road with traffic on the double highway passing through Vredenburg i dashed across  and put the cross against a palm tree.

I got my phone out and just could not find the camera app to take a picture. As i was battling to get the camera app i hear the truck starts. i shouted as loud as i could ” STOP WAIT DON’T GO” but in the wind in the distance it was all in vain truck driver did not hear me. i managed to get the camera ready and as i stepped back to take a picture a car came in that lane and had to jump back on the pavement. I saw another big truck in the distance and quickly coming but jumped in the road again and managed to take these 2 pictures in perfect timing. The Lords time is always on time. Thank you Jesus

i see the company that the truck belongs to is RB Schroeder & Sons. Bless you guys as when you drive that this message will be well received wherever you on the roads of South Africa.
